 Fatima Sana Become New Captain For Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team:

The Pakistan Cricket Board  on Sunday announced the squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 which is set to occur in the United Arab Emirates from October 3.

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which was originally scheduled to take place in Bangladesh, was shifted to the UAE due to political unrest in the country.

Fatima Sana Become New Captain For Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team:

Fatima Sana has been named as the Pakistan women’s cricket team skipper for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the United Arab Emirates from 3rd October to 20th October. The decision was made by the women’s national selection committee according to reports.

The PCB affirmed the appointment of Fatima Sana as the skipper as she replaced the experienced/accomplished Nida Dar, a veteran of 112 ODIs and 153 T20Is.

Age/ Matches:

Fatima Sana who is 22 years old, has highlighted in 41 ODIs and 40 T20Is, and has recently led Pakistan emerging and domestic sides. 

From the 2023 version, 10 players ( Muneeba Ali, Nashra Sundhu, Nida Dar, Omaima Sohail, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal,  Aliya Riaz, Fatima Sana,Sidra Amin and Tuba Hassan) have been held, while uncapped left-arm pacer Tasmia Rubab comes to the last 15. Left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal has been remembered for the crew subject to wellness.

The Pakistan Cricket Board rolled out just a single change from the team that played in the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 as Sadaf Shams got back to the team instead of Najiha Alvi.
