Earlier,  heavy rains in the morning leading to a delay in the toss.

Both the two teams were still in their hotel after the downpour stopped for a brief span, with the Met Office forecasting intermittent monsoon rain.

However the pitch was covered yet the greater part of the stadium got boggy on account of the storm. Now the match will start tomorrow morning, considering that the dry field is accessible.

Keep in mind, this is a must win game for team Pakistan after they lost the series opener by 10 wickets last week at a similar venue.

Pakistan have left out Shaheen Shah Afridi from their 12-member squad, permitting him an opportunity to enjoy with his new-born son and family.

Pacer Shaheen Afridi struggled to find his rhythm through much of the innings, with Pakistan's lead trainer Jason Gillespie saying he will be refreshed to permit him to invest energy with his new-conceived child and family.

Pakistan's 12 for Second Test:

Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Shan Masood (c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Abdullah Shafique, Saud Shakeel (vc), Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Ali, Salman Ali Agha, Mir Hamza, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shehzad.

Keep in mind, Pakistan played four pacers in the First Test — Shaheen Shah Afridi, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Ali and Naseem Shah —as the Shan Masood-led unit wanted to go with a pace attack.
