Mohsin Naqvi Set To Become New (ACC) Asian Cricket Council President:

The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi is set to turn into the new president of the Asian Cricket Council, according to the report on Tuesday.

Current President Of The Asian Cricket Council: 

Currently, the president of the Asian Cricket Council is Jay Shah who is also the Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Jay Shah was given a 1 year extension in his term as Asian Cricket Council chief in January 2024.

The President of the Asian Cricket Council is delegated on a revolution based policy among the member countries. Mosin Naqvi will replace Jay Shah in January 2025 and his term will go on for 2 years.

Mohsin Naqvi is already the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, and he is already working as the Pakistan’s Interior Minister. He will administer three significant jobs once he is officially appointed as the Asian Cricket Council President.

ACC Meeting Scheduled:

Mohsin Naqvi is supposed to be made ACC president in the following ACC meeting which is held to be schedule for the month of October-November 

Mohsin Naqvi has announced to impart his duties to the former head coach of the team Waqar Younis as he will keep his focus on administrative matters.

The PCB Chief will give up cricket undertakings to Younis Khan as he accepts that a cricketer ought to be liable for the issues connected with the game.

The decisions related to International Cricket, Domestic Cricket, the Selection Committee and the (NOCs) of the players will be looked over by Younis Khan.

Mohsin Naqvi’s focus will be to look after the administrative affairs of the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy, in which Pakistan is set to host between February and March next year.

Pakistan Cricket Board Constitution:

As per the Pakistan Cricket Board Constitution 2014, the Chairman of the board has the ability to designate his power to somebody and that is how Younis Khan will be given the power to make all the decisions related to the team.
