Champions Trophy Budget Has Been Approved By International Cricket Council (ICC)

In the annual meeting of the International Cricket Council the budget for the Champions Trophy 2025 has been approved in Colombo.This meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi.

The ICC Champions Trophy will feature matches in three major cities including Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.

In the proposed plan,

Group A conclude Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. 

Group B conclude England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan.

The PCB stands firm on its position of facilitating all of the Champions Trophy 2025 matches in the country in spite of rumors of a neutral venue or plan B.

Pakistan is ready to host the Champions Trophy 2025 and recently, the rumors of a "plan B" and "neutral venue" started to emerge in the news. The rumors which is started to emerge in the news thta the Indian cricket team won't travel to Pakistan and play their matches on a neutral venue.

The PCB strongly believed that the event is of Pakistan, so that it should be totally organized in Pakistan.The International Cricket Council annual meeting is planned in Colombo from 19 July to 22 July and the PCB delegation will go there with a solid position of facilitating all the matches in the country.

The Pakistan Cricket Board also issue Rs 12.80 billion for upgrade of 3 stadiums which is Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, Karachi's National Bank Stadium and Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium will be elevated ahead of the marquee event.

Except India, all eight teams that will take part in the Champions Trophy have previously played in Pakistan and the PCB believed that India doesn't have reason not to come here.

The scheduled dates for the Champions Trophy are from 19th February 2025 to 9th March 2025.

This occasion will return the arrival of the ICC Champions Trophy after eight-year rest, with its last event in 2017, where Pakistan defeat India in the final match.
