WCL 1st Semi Final Result:
PAK Champs vs WI Champs:
Pakistan Champions crushed West Indies Champions by 20 runs in the 1st Semi Final of the ongoing World Championship Of Legends 2024, which was played at the County Ground in Northampton on Friday.
Pakistan Batting:
In the beginning Pakistan Champions bat first, Pakistan didn't have an extraordinary beginning as they lost three of their batters, Sharjeel Khan, Sohaib Maqsood and Shoaib Malik without scoring any significant runs.
Both the players looked set on the crease yet Kamran Akmal wound up losing his wicket after scoring 46 runs on 31 balls with 8 fours. After Kamran Akmal dismissal, Pakistan Champions lost 2 more wickets with Shahid Afridi and Misbah-ul-Haq.
Younis Khan was removed by Fidel Edwards after 65 runs, but Pakistan kept on posting runs on the scoreboard as Aamer Yahim and Sohail Tanvir framed a 61 runs paternership.
Aamer Yamin scored 37 runs on 17 balls while Sohail Tanvir score 33 runs on 17 balls.
After setting the 199 runs target, the Pakistani bowlers show their brilliant efforts and impelled their team to the tournament's final where they will face India.
West Indies Bowling:
For West Indies, Edwards gets 3 wickets, Sulieman Benn got 2 wickets while Jerome Taylor and Dwayne Smith picked one wicket each.
West Indies Batting:
West Indies had a slow start in the beginning as they scored only 7 runs in the initial four overs yet they found the rhythm as Chris Gayle started hitting boundaries in the fifth over.
How ever, Chris Gayle's innings didn't keep going long as he was out by Sohail Khan for 26 runs.
West Indies continued to lose wickets at intervals however Ashley Nurse played a quick innings of 36 runs on 24 balls, he seemed to be the man to lead the West Indies Champions to chase the target but he was run out by Kamran Akmal.
Rayad Emrit score 29 runs in 9 balls however he was removed by Shoaib Malik.
Pakistan Bowling:
Sohail khan bagged 4 wickets, while Wahab Riaz & Shoaib Malik got 2 wickets each.
Sohail Khan was Pakistan's Champions best performer with the ball as he capture 4 wickets and restricted the West Indies Champions to 178 runs.
