PCB Confirms New Selection Committee Ahead Of Bangladesh Test Series:
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday announced the formation of the selection committee ahead of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh "A" which will start in 21st August.
The decision to form a new selection committee came after the PCB find the lack of discipline in team management. So PCB chose to remove the previous fast bowler Wahab Riaz and all-rounder Abdul Razzaq as the national cricket.
The new selection committee comprises of skippers (red and white-ball), head coaches (red and white-ball), Asad Shafiq and Mohammad Yousuf.
The new committee will decide the squad that will feature in the two Test series against Bangladesh which will be had as impact of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25.
After Pakistan’s disappointing performance in T20 World Cup 2024, and lack of discipline in team management Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq were removed from the selection committee.
After being removed as a selector, Wahab Riaz was also removed as the senior team manager of the men’s side.
Bangladesh Tour of Pakistan (Two Tests Matches)
First Test, 21-25 August at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Second Test, 30 Aug-3 September at National Stadium Karachi
