Women's Asia Cup 2nd Semi-Final Match Result: 

Sri Lanka women’s cricket team defeat Pakistan women's cricket team by three wickets in the second Semi-Final of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 which was played at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Friday.

The Srilankan women's chased down the 141 run target in the last over which was bowled by Pakistan's captain Nida Dar.

Sri Lanka women's required three runs off six balls in the last over yet Nida Dar's impressive display made it difficult for the srilankan woman.

Pakistan Batting:

Pakistan Women score 140 runs in 20 overs after loss of 4 wickets.

Muneeba Ali become the top scorer for the Pakistan woman side as she made 37 runs in 34 balls. while hitting 5 fours in match.

Gull Feroza become the 2nd top scorer as she scores  25 runs in 24 balls while hitting 3 fours in the match.

Skipper Nida Dar made 23 runs in 17 balls while hitting 2 fours and 1 six in the match.

Sri lanka Bowling:

Udeshika Prabodhani took 2 wickets while getting 23 runs in 4 overs.

Kavisha Dilhari took 2 wickets while getting 30 runs in 4 overs. 

Sri Lanka Batting:

Chamari Athapaththu become the top scorer for the Sri lankan side as she made 63 runs in 48 balls, while hitting 9 fours and 1 six in the innings.
Anushka Sanjeewani become the 2nd top scorer as she scores 24 runs in 22 balls, while hitting single four and single six in the innings.
Kavisha Dilhari score 17 runs in 18 balls while hitting 2 fours.

Pakistan Bowling:

Sadia Iqbal took 4 wickets while conceding 16 runs in 4 overs.
Omaima Sohail took 1 wicket while conceding 16 runs in 3overs.
Nida Dar took 1 wicket while conceding 20 runns in 2.5 overs.

Disclaimer:

During their pursuit, chase, Sri Lanka suffered at first as they lost two of their batsman, Vishmi Gunaratne and Harshitha Samarawickrama. At this stage Srilanka women were 19-2 in only 4 overs.

However, captain Chamari Athapaththu played a leaders innings which direct Sri Lanka women close to victory. She made 63 runs on 48 balls with the help of 10 boundaries.

Anushka Sanjeewani gave vital 24 runs and the Islanders pursued the target with one ball in excess.
