PCB announce pre-season camp from 24 June to 7 July

 

The Pakistan Cricket Board on Saturday 22 June 2024 announce a pre-season fitness and fielding camp & Pakistan Shaheen's training camp which will be held at The Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi.

In this pre-season camp 25 cricketers will take part and it is start on 24 June to 7 July. The squad will be shorten to 15-member, Pakistan Shaheens squad that will take part in a training camp from 8-13 July to prepare for their tour to Darwin.

“In Darwin, Pakistan Shaheens will play two four-day matches against Bangladesh ‘A’, two 50-over matches against Northern Territory and Bangladesh, and also participate in the nine-team Top End T20 Series,” the PCB said in a press release.

“Pakistan red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie will manage the Pakistan Shaheen's training camp from 8-13 July and will also travel to Darwin as the team’s Head coach. He will return to Pakistan after the second four-day match against Bangladesh ‘A’, which finishes on 29 July, to assume responsibilities as the national side’s head coach and starts preparations for the two-Test series against Bangladesh.

Fitness And Fielding Camp Managed By Mohammed Masroor:

“The pre-season fitness and fielding camp will be managed  by Mohammad Masroor, who will also travel to Darwin as Assistant Coach-cum-Manager.

Head Coach:

 Abdul Rehman will be the white-ball head coach and will join the Pakistan Shaheen's side on 28 July for the 2 50-over and Top End T20 Series matches from 4-18 August.

“National team players which are presently involved in cricket in the United Kingdom and those who recently participated in the Cricket World Cup 2024 have been exempted from this camp.”

Abdullah Shafique, Haseebullah, Imam-ul-haq, Kamran Ghulam,  Kashif Ali, Khurram Shehzad, Mohammed Haris, Mohammed Huraira, Mohammed wasim jnr, Mehran Mumtaz, Usman Qadir, Umar Amin, Shanawaz Dhani, Saud Shakeel, Zahid Mehmood, Sahibzada Farhan, Mohammed Irfan khan, Tayyab Tahir, Fasial Akram, Hunain Shah, Sameen Gul, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Omar Bin Yousuf, Mubassir Khan. 

 One more player will likely to be added in the camp next week.

Haseebullah, Hunain Shah, Kamran Ghulam, Kashif Ali, Khurram Shahzad, Mehran Mumtaz, Mohammad Huraira, Mubasir Khan, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Omair Bin Yousuf, Sahibzada Farhan, Shahnawaz Dahani, Tayyab Tahir and Umar Amin. 

Captain and one more player will be confirmed in some time.
